As a child I kept a diary. I would write in it almost every night. Admittedly it was usually no more than an account of what I ate for lunch and dinner, but sometimes there would be lots to say about wicked teachers and the betrayal of those I had thought friends, about whom I could scribble pages (and pages) of tween anguish.
It kind of petered out when I was in my mid-teens and I discovered that accounts of snogging Matt Jones in the doorway of the chippie caused my mother great concern. I’m pretty sure there’s a saying about nosy people never learning anything good… or if there isn’t, there should be.
Anyway, now I’m in my late 20’s, married and living in Cheshire (England, for those who don’t know) and for some reason I’ve decided to not only start keeping a diary again but to share it with you and seek your advice on those tricky decisions we all face day-to-day. Who knows where it might lead, but I hope you can come along for the ride.
Don’t forget to drop me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any suggestions or advice about the website – or where my life is going! Thanks for stopping by and happy reading.
Love, Alex x
